Need Opinions Re a 2008 GX470
I'm considering a 2008 or 2009 GX470 (currently have a '09 CRV) - I strongly prefer no NAV but those are extremely difficult to locate - I've located a potential GX for sale in the Atlanta metro (this will be a 2 hour drive for me to evaluate).
I'd appreciate anyone's opinion regarding this GX and it's price. Some comments: the 3rd row seats are not installed (maybe that's a good thing) and the left rear door has an interior trim piece missing. Thank you.

That is a very nice one, price is not bad. I just got my 2008 last month and paid $22500, but it had 74k miles. These do not last too long as the GX470 is in a pricing sweet spot and they really are nice riding vehicle. Check the lexus website for all the maintenance history and pull a car fax. Here is another option as well.

I am surprised Nalley is selling this. Don't get me wrong but this is one of the best dealerships in ATL metro and i had great experience with them when i use to live there. Its very rare that a car that has above 100k is being sold at their dealership, the condition is not all that great or flawless. Usually they ship those to Auctions ASAP i.e. Manheim ATL.
I think price is OK plus TB WP Thermostat and Radiator and other stuff has been replaced as per Car fax which is a plus. But if you can haggle the price and bring it down to $18K that will be the best price in my opinion.
Good Luck.

I notice this one has the gray/silver wood trim. Is this one of the rare sport ones with the factory KDSS suspension?
About KDSS:
The first vehicle to feature KDSS, the Lexus GX 470.
The Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) technology was employed initially in the Lexus GX 470, and subsequently the 200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser. The system was invented and developed by Kinetic Pty Ltd, a small R&D company based in Dunsborough, Western Australia.[1] It optimally adjusts front and rear stabilizers based on a set of interconnected hydraulic cylinders. The interconnection is made up of hydraulic piping and a control cylinder which is located at the frame rail.[2] KDSS, which is fully mechanical, can disengage the stabilizer bars (the bars are jointed, allowing movement independent of one another).[2] This system will not engage during normal driving conditions, when hydraulic pressure is equal. In off-road conditions, KDSS activates when it senses that a wheel has dropped.[2]
The Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System was first available as an option on the model year 2004 Lexus GX 470, a sport utility vehicle that is only sold in the United States, and based roughly on the 120 Series Land Cruiser Prado. The system was also introduced in similar form on the 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser. For the 2008 Lexus LX 570, an electro-mechanical suspension was employed, retaining the function of the KDSS design but adding electronic components.[2]

Thank you for all the replies - I greatly appreciate the craigslist option - I just worry that it's 2 years older (2006 - compared to the one I'm evaluating, a 2008) - anyway, can anyone confirm that it has the "sport package"? is this desirable or fraught with problems (KDSS)?

I picked up 07" last year with 85k miles for 17k was clean history no accidents. Only thing missing was the Nav which I like due to the backup camera. But I did put a aftermarket one otherwise pretty solid. Reaching 95k planning to do the timing belt and water pump soon. Reason I like the 08-09 is the color of the wooden trim and the silver trim on the outside.
