I am new to GX470 but have wanted one for a while. Probably buying it tomorrow, already put a deposit on it. Started to research this whole sport package topic. I really like the interior, more my style as opposed to the typical wood and leather combos. Can't tell if headlights and tails are smoked so thought maybe the interior was special ordered without it being a sport package (also because VIN lookup does not show KDSS).
The interior is an exact duplicate of my '06 SPORT PACKAGE GX with KDSS.
Look for the chrome tail pipe tip, smoked head lights, chromed roof rack, but the best test, just turn the key on and look for the dash KDSS light to come on!

Seems to have chrome tailpipe and roof rack is also looking like the sport package one.
I mean, clearly it is the sport interior, just so hard to tell with photos the exterior lights and wheels. They don't look smoked but I know it was a subtle difference anyway.

Those are the "smoked headlights". The normal ones have a greenish tint.
Pretty sure it has the sport package.
Well I bought myself an 05 Sport Package equipped with KDSS and it was sorta by accident.
I drove it 2 hours from queens to beacon, NY. What a ride! Very happy with it. Feel like I got lucky as I needed a car fast since my Subaru died and stumbled on the rather rare sport package with 70k mi. Some scratches but it is 11 years old so whatever. I won't feel too bad about scratching it myself
Congrats as well! I too have a 2005 sport and love it! I like the black Birdseye maple wood trim. Glad you did not give up. Mine took a while to find, I've had it since October 2015.
Thanks. Like I said, I got lucky. First week of looking for a GX470 and I learned about the sport package during my search and their just happened to be one new to market within a few hours from me. I love it!
