My truck's KDSS system is leaking. Truck's driver side is slanted.
Dealer can repair it for $3,600.

What alternatives to the repair do I have?
Can I remove the KDSS? How much should that cost?

Thank you in advance.

You can try and find a local shop that has the KDSS tool - they are few and far between, however. They would be able to perform the repair for less, but not by much (KDSS parts are very expensive)

You can remove the front and rear KDSS swaybars to fix the slant but would be left with a car the leans heavily in turns. The warning light will remain on.

If you are enterprising you may be able to install non-KDSS swaybars on the vehicle - this is not something most shops would attempt for you though.

Edit - I just called my local dealer for prices - the stabilizer cylinders are about $1k, the valve assembly is about $1.1k, so if you were to buy the tool yourself and DIY it (and you are very ambitious) you could save yourself a grand or so. I paid $1474 for my KDSS tool.
