Suspension Conversion Questions
**Duplicate posted at toyota120.com**
I'm having some issues with the rear suspension on my '04 GX and have decided to ditch the air setup rather than try to repair it. Here's the setup I'm looking at:
OME 895E rear springs
Bilstein 5100 rear shocks
MetalTech4x4 conversion bracket kit for springs
The total cost for parts is under $500. I'm not planning to upgrade the front at this point.
My questions are:
1. Is this a good combination for slightly increased firmness on the ride over OEM? I typically like to drive with the selector in Sport mode, so I want something to mimic that feel.
2. The OME 895E should provide only a modest lift (<1" or so)?
3. Will the suspension selector still work for the front struts?
4. Any issues with disconnecting the rear air control system?
Thanks,
Jeff
