Does anyone know what the front alignment specs should be? I found this. Can anyone verify this to be accurate?


I got an alignment today at Toyota and I'm not happy with the after specs, even though they're in the machines "green zone". If I had more time to wait I would've had them try it again but I already waited 2 1/2hrs. and I needed to leave. I told them I'll bring it back after Christmas. Does anyone have any alignment specs sheets from their GX?

Has anyone here ever got a front end alignment? If so what are your after specs?

I was going to post a snap shot from the Lexus repair manual, but i just realized it says the exact same thing as the top of your first post says.

I haven't had to do an alignment on mine quite yet, so I can't help you there quite yet. Whats wrong with yours?

I'm rubbing on the left fender liner bad but nothing a heat gun won't take care of...but I shouldn't be rubbing that bad if I wasn't when it was at stock ride height. Also I'd to see the left side more towards 0 degrees of camber. I can feel it slightly pull left when I switch lanes to the left.

I did on my last Sunday. Did it at Sears, don't know how experienced this guys and how good their equipment is, but car is still driving straight and it's actually feels a bit easier to drive straight. Maybe it's a new tires though.

Thanks! Those specs are very close to mine. I'm going to take it back and see if Toyota can take out some camber from the front left.

I don't think it is worth it. You will spend additional few hours, but it will depends on how good they have calibrated their equipment.
If measurements around the middle of acceptable range and it doesn't feels wrong while driving then it's fine.
It's a truck, not a small sports car where you can feel differences

An alignment is an alignment whether you're in a sports car or SUV / truck and I don't want the specs to match just for the sake of them matching. Like I said above I can feel the difference before and after my alignment. When I switch lanes to the left I can feel my GX slightly pull me into that left lane with barely moving the wheel towards the left and it never did that before the alignment.

It's annoying because when I set the wheel back straight trying to compensate from going over into the far left lane I'm then riding the dotted line for a sec. before I can fully get into my lane. It's not bad around town but going 65mph+ on the beltway and having that happen isn't fun. I would probably get use to it after a week or two of driving but I'd rather the camber be set closer to 0° so I don't have outer tire wear on my left tire.

OK, got the alignment done today, as I felt the truck was pulling a bit to the left, here's the specs:

Camber: -0.3°
Caster: 2.7°
Toe: -.35°

FRONT RIGHT
Camber: -0.5°
Caster: 3.1°
Toe:.01°

TOTAL TOE
-0.35°

FRONT LEFT

Toe: 0.06°

Driving impressions: We're in the middle of a snowstorm today, so most of the driving I did was pushing through powder, but it didn't pull anymore, just drove straight.

I'm hoping for even a small increase in fuel economy, but not holding my breath.

I need to take mine back asap because I don't like how it pulls to the left when I switch lanes. I'm pretty sure that's because I have almost 1 degree of camber on the front left and 0 at the front right.

I took my GX to Lexus today. I explained what was happening after Toyota did the alignment and the master tech said the pulling was due to the increased caster on the left side and that Toyota should've taken the time to get those numbers as close as possible because you'll have pulling and drifting if they're not close.

He took it for a test drive before and said he felt the pull and after he said the pulling was gone. Sure enough on my way home no more pulling. Here's my before & after specs from Lexus. I'm not sure why but the before numbers are a little off from what Toyota showed 2 weeks ago?

I had my family with me (Wife, 2 kids, Mom, Mamaw). While waiting we looked at a fully loaded LX570. I love the interior but I was surprised at the lack of interior space. We all sat in it, minus the car seat and it didn't feel any larger than my GX, even though on paper I'm sure it is. The rear cargo area w/ the seats folded up actually looked a little smaller than the GX, even though I'm sure it wasn't. I wasn't all that impressed w/ it, especially after seeing the $91K price tag.
