Overhead DVD player stock on GX470 inputs?
There are no visible Inputs but I'm wondering if there is a way to get video game inputs without replacing the entire overhead console.

Thats weird. What year is your GX?
EDIT: Just found your old thread saying you have a '05. Not sure what to tell you. Do you have the factory Navi w/ Mark Levinson audio?

Thats weird. We both have a '05 w/ Navi & Mark Levinson. Do you have the following.....
6 disc changer in the glove box
RSES:
Roof mounted monitor
DVD in center console
If so, yeah you got hosed!

6 disc changer in glove box.
DVD is ceiling mount in center and the DVDs front load directly into it.
The remote for the DVD has a button to toggle the input but it doesn't seem to have any visible video inputs anywhere!

You have an aftermarket roof monitor w/ DVD built into. So you dont have the OEM RSES, thats why theres no video inputs and only audio. I could be wrong but I think thats your problem....

Aha! There is the answer.
So I would need to swap out the ceiling mount unit with some other after market unit that has inputs on it if the "video game while driving" was "family critical."
That sounds expensive.

Yeah youd probably need to swap it out. If youre handy w/ a screwdriver try removing the monitor and see what kind of wires you have coming into the unit. There could be inputs there that are hidden. Does the sound from the DVD play through your factor speakers or are the speakers built into the monitor itself?

Were you using them as wireless headphones or plugged into the Lexus OEM headphone jack?
If you head it through the Lexus OEM jack or factory stereo that means you have RCA audio inputs in the DVD / monitor. If a aftermarket unit has audio inputs it will usually have video as well, and those are the more expensive ones. Thats why I said remove it a little and see whats hidden.
The cheaper ones will have the speakers built in to the DVD / monitor itself and usually wont have RCA inputs.
