Default I need your help with arm brake

Ok guys, I have 2004 Lexus GX and this is my first major problem. On Saturday I parked my car I pulled my arm brake and I realized its gone. Its just feel like cable is broken. So I need your opinion on what could be a problem. Do I need to replace just a cable if yes, is it difficult?

Thank you,
Eugene

This of this nature is best left to the pros to trully get the full extent to the problem. I suggest take it to a brake shop if not the dealer. You have to be 100% trouble-free when it comes to brakes. "Safety First"

If it's the cable, you'll have to remove the middle console as well as get under the car, but if you know how to wrench it should be easy.

I had mine apart this weekend to do a little inspecting, and it is not hard at all to get that center console out. There are a few "how to's" on console removal on this site.

The GX braking system is similar to 4Rs ( V8) Here is the diagram, of the Parking Brake, Cable and the Rear Brake Cs.omponent hope this helps.
