Default TPMS Sensor what to do?

I just picked up a set of 18" Limited 4Runner Rims that came with the TP Sensor. I have an '03 GX and don't believe I have the TPM System.

Is there any way I can find out if I have the TPM System on my truck? If so then I would consider keeping the TP Sensors that came with the rims. Also, if I were to have the dealership configure the TP Sensor do they need to have access to the sensor i.e. tire not mounted (right now its just the rim with no tires). Any idea what they charge to do that?

If not then I'll be selling 4 TP sensors..not sure if they work as they came with the rim. Any way to find out if the TP sensors are good?

My button for the TPM is located by my right shin. I don't know the answer on if they would work and how much to program them for your SUV.

If you had the system you would have the same valve stems as on the wheel you just bought, and there would be instructions in your manual in how to set them after an installation or a tire change. that being said,i have a 2004 and no system, dont think it was used until at least 2005.

thanks for the input...I looked at the valve stems on my existing wheels and they are regular rubber stems and not like the metal stems that came with the 18" limited wheels so i had the shop take out the TP sensors and replace with regular rubber stems.

I'll be selling the 4 TP sensors either with or without the OEM wheels.
