Default RPMs fall, rise, then fall at stoplights

Interesting behavior from my new GX470. When I come to a complete stop at a light the RPMs fall to idle (~500 RPM). As I hold my foot on the brake they will rise to ~800-1000 RPM before falling back to idle.

This is troublesome because i was adjusting the radio station with normal stopped pressure on the peddle and the GX started to move forward as the RPMs rose. A firmer press on the brake peddle stopped the behavior.

Details:
2006
GX470
64K
CPO

I need to take it into the dealer for a driveline clunk fix, an out of balance tire and this... ugh. I expected better from a CPO car. They are going to fix this thing.

It's your A/C compressor kicking on and off. The same thing happens to me during the summer if I'm sitting at the light with barely enough pressure on the brake to keep it from creeping. In the colder months, I run the climate control in the Auto position with the A/C off.

Since you are going to the dealer to sove this, tell them to have the MAF sensor, Idle Control Valve, Throttle Body Control to be checked and cleansed. This will solve the above issues.
