Has anyone installed one of the aftermarket Signal Mirrors and/or back up cameras.

Several companies are selling them, and they claim they are compatible with the GX 470s.

Looking for the best made in both items and a place in Los Angeles to install them for me.

i have an aftermarket back-up camera. i had it installed when i got all of the audio work done. not sure what the brand is, but i think it was around $100-$200 range. works fine, but the downfall is the image is reversed (what's on the left shows as on the right). i don't know if that's a downfall with the particular one i have, or with aftermarket one's in general. i don't really use it b/c it's not made for depth perception. i just like driving around with it on so i can get a good look at what's going on behind me.

Hi Alison.....

The camera image is supposed to be reversed. It shows up in the NAV screen just like it would be, if you were looking at a mirror.

But if you're looking in your mirror, a car on your driver side is on your driver side. with my camera, a car on my driver side looks like it's on the passenger side. i've never seen a stock one, so i can't compare it. i don't know, it's wierd, but once you get used to it, it's fine.

Do you have a picture of your?
I guess you might turn it over (up side down) then it should display the right images.
