MD/DC/VA, I need your help
Hi all,
I purchased my Blizzard White/9700G/Michilin tires/RES/NAV, awsome.
My wife is driving in Burke, VA and a Deer runs infront of the car:::::::::
Aftermath::::::::::::::
Entire left front destroyed.
Not even 500 miles on it. I can't even look at it in the Garage.
People ask how the new car is and I cant talk about it.
I wake up in the morning and I think about it.
Okay, I know "Get a grip"
So, I want a (was thinking) lexus dealership with an "In-house" collision center.
Any thoughts?????
I Don't want a newbie practicing on my GX, ya know.

sorry to hear, my 04 got rear ended with 600 miles but only the bumper cover was damaged so i kept it. in your case if you have signifigant damage and the isurance wont total your loss, your best bet may be to fix it on the cheap and trade it in. Hopefully the difference between the insurance payout vs the repair bill might make up the loss in the trade or help absorb it. good luck.

I am terribly sorry to learn about your wife's incident. However, I am assuming (and hoping) that she's okay so that your investment in the GX was worth it. The GX can be repaired! Was there frame damage? Your post indicates that the entire left front of the vehicle was destroyed. If the frame was not damaged you should be fine with getting the vehicle repaired. My experience with dealer body-repair shops is not good and my advice, therefore, would be to contract with an independent repair shop. Your insurance company may be able to refer you to some reputable body-repair shops in your area.

Sorry to hear about that as well. Same thing happened to my brother-in-law who was driving in Fairfax Station (near Burke). Messed up front of his car. He took car to Lindsey Lexus in Alexandria, VA where they have a collision department. Only issue he had was that it took over a month to get his vehicle back.
