HowTo: made my own rear cargo liner
hey guys... i had make a cargo mat for my previous gx... but after i sold it back to lexus, my mom put it in the garage and decided to cut it up I was bored at home since I had no classes today so i had to go get some more materials and made one again..
i saw these Weathertech Cargo Mat
but i decided to go my cheaper method..
Total Cost: ~$10 at the most
Materials needed:
Process:

first take the rear mat out of the vehicle
place the runner over the top of the mat going horizontal, make sure you leave some room on the sides ( i did not want to cut it exactly, i wanted some over lap, easier to keep sand and stuff on the vinyl then have it go down to the bottom
cut one side, since the other side should be new, i left about a sharpie cap length, its a bit too much but it works
mark the openings in the carpet, ie: the rear seats, and the tie down hooks, i just did this by seeing the mat underneath and marking it off pretty easy
then roll the rest of the vinyl runner over the bottom, i have the top and bottom overlap so the bottom is a clean cut, and again i left about a sharpie cap length on either side
after the runner is laid out, start marking off the bottom tie offs, and then what is left of the rear seats, also remember you have to cut from the top of the runner down to the bottom portion, since you have it overlapping
mark of the sides of the mat to cut now, ie the edges.. this is the hardest part since the mat starts to curve at the bottom
remove both of the runner pieces, i did this on the floor in my house so i got a stack of newspaper
start where ever you want (the top part or the bottom part) and using the exacto knife start cutting your traces
after its all done wrap up the mat, and your vinyl pieces and take em back to your vehicle.
put the mat down in the vehicle make sure its the right way, then put the top vinyl down check to make sure the vinyl carpet and the actual tie down match up, they should
then do the same with the bottom part
try it out, by putting the seats down, and then the cargo net
enjoy
pics will follow after i get em off my camera, and get my laptop situated, proly tomorrow :-\ if anyone has any problems with the how to or anything let me know, also if its hard to understand sorry i haven’t reread it.. so there may be problems or it may be choppy please let me know ether way

DIY 10 times less!
Kash! Very details descriptions!
I also don't want to pay too much for my cargo mat since I don't use that often!
Could you show some of your work on the cargo mat? I'd love to see it! Thanks
