metalic scraping sound when turning right
I just noticed this this morning, and while I will do a proper check I thought I would bounce it off you guys for ideas on where to start looking.
I noticed that the driver side front wheel makes a metallic scraping noise while the car is turning right. It sounds like something scraping the rotor or shield behind the rotor ( a rotational/moving kind of scraping noise)
This only happens on a relatively sharp turn (wheel is turned 70~80% to the right). I don't suspect the power steering as there is no noise if the car is not moving even when wheel is turned to extremes. The scraping noise happens at any speed, as long as the car is moving. does not happen when car is turning left.
Edit: Note that I am 90% certain it is from the front... my ears may be playing a trick on me (kind of hard to listen precisely while driving).
Any tips on where to start looking?

Take a metal rod, or stick, and push each rotor shield back a little bit with your hands, front and back.
I highly doubt it's a rock stuck in there, as if you're just going straight it shouldn't make a noise....
Are you on aftermarket wheels? Anything you've done that's custom suspension-wise?

I jacked up the car and checked the CV boots, no tares no leaks. I didn't notice any play in the wheel to indicate wheel bearing. I pushed the dust shield back a bit with my hand but it did not seem to drop anything or make any noise as though there is anything in there....
I didn't have time to actually take the wheel off or disassemble the brake/rotor (to see if the pad is damaged or if there is rust/pitting in the rotor). so who knows.
I have not done anything to the suspension, rims or tires, it is all vanilla OEM/stock. I do like to drive the car hard so I wouldn't be surprised if the brakes are going (online search suggests this may be early onset of wear indicator)
Nose only happens when steering wheel is turned to a specific position, less or more makes no noise, going straight is no noise.
I am due for an oil change anyhow so I will have the dealership take a look at the noise this week.

Hey buddy i have the same problem and have no idea what is wrong either... I've check it a couple of times and nothing seems wrong... when i go straight there is no noise at all and it happens on the same side when i turn right! Though the problem only occurs randomly... which is strange...

I've had this exact same issue lucky, i am at a shop all the time and did a through check and solved the issue:
Take off Driver Side Caliper and Rotor, you will may notice nearing the center rotor backing plate that part of the rotor has touched the back side of the rotor. This is caused from rust build up on areas of the back rotor where the pad does not make contact. I simply shaved down the back plate to allow for more clearance, reinstalled everything and sound was gone.
My sound was very noticeable when load was heavy on the driver side.
Hope this helps!

Try turning while barely touching the brake pedal. Sometimes a brake pad could touch the rotor during a turn and it would sound weird. Applying light pressure to the pedal removes all slack and stabilizes the pads and the noise disappears. If that's the case, applying some anti-squeal grease could fix the problem.

Metal scraping while turning left
I am hearing a metal scraping sound when turnING left. Strange thing is the sound stops when the brakes are being applied. Already had a shop check the bearings and cv joints and there's no problem there. Just had the pads and rotors replaced last year. Any ideas what it could be??
