Need help understanding how to get to the "motor" that operates the rear window sunshade

take them apart. it's pretty easy to take the whole sunshade out. and you will see how it works.

i assume urs not working anymore ? happened on mine, the gear broke on mine.

or just not use it like me. mine still work, just i dont turn it on/roll up.

That was actually the one option I didn't care about or want, but the car I picked had it. I actually use it more than I thought. If I didn't have kids I probably wouldn't use it.

Default Rear sunshade in GS350

I want to disconnect it but I can't even find where the motor (or gears) are. Do I go through the trunk? I've taken all the panels in the trunk out but still do not see the sunshade drive. Or do I have to remove the panel at the rear window to get to the motor? Please help!

You have to remove the rear deck and rear seat to get to the gear assembly and motor........
