sell or not to sell is the question..
hey guys I have dilemma about selling my beloved lexus. Recently, I was accepted into a program in NYC for next 2- 3 years. I was told, do not bring my car but use the public transportation instead. Thus, wondering if i should sell my gs. I have 06 lexus gs300 with 64k miles.

you will be permanently live in NYC for that 2-3 years? You might want to ask ppl living in NYC. But from what I understand traffic there is hell and public trans is a lot more accessible.
if I can't use my car for 2 years, might as well sell. Too many problems with a car sitting that long.

Why not? I own 2 , used to own 3 and I live in queens, work in e city.
Commute to work is hell, so take LLIR or subway. Express bus is also great. Once in a while I drive to work, but rarely. It's itoo exhaustive. But sometimes subway gets too annoying and you just want to be in your own car and drive in. That happens once or twice a month. There is only so much subway misery one can take.
I pay $300 for garage space for both cars. So kept that in mind.
Parking in the street is a sure guarantee that someone will bump into the car, side swipe, crash into ( those helpless dwi case nuts) and let's not forget the department of sanitation, who will do little to avoid dragging garbage bags around your car without scratching the whole side or hood or trunk. Ask me how I know .
But I'm a car nut and I enjoy my cars. If I wanted a car for just counting, I wouldnt be driving a Lexus. There is a great car out there for the masses that does things exceptionally well, I think Accord they call it, or Camry... Something like that.

you could drive elsewhere when you are off. A joy ride to elsewhere beside NY, somewhere you can enjoy the ride.
