Default Best Excuse to Get the Loaner from the Dealer?

Soooo, hypothetically speaking, if your car is under warranty, what's the best excuse you can give the dealer to look at your car and issue you a loaner?

A friend of mine has a Lexus and is thinking of taking a long trip over the long holiday weekend upcoming and an SUV would be nice. He's thinking of dropping off the car on Sat morning and returning it Weds (Sunday & Tuesday the dealership is closed).

Thoughts?

Any good stories? Thanks in advance

I buy my car to drive and enjoy driving what I have. I ask myself "what is a good excuse to take a long trip in my car?"

But lately money has been tight and all good excuse got knock a few notches down.

Too bad my car can't fly, else it'll be Hawaii for the warm weather.

I mean I understand as I would never drive to Florida from Boston because of the amount of miles I would put on and how close I am to 100K but maybe that's because I want to trade it in. You really should just rent a vehicle than trying to use a loaner. Someone stated to me that you have limited miles you can go, I dont with where I bring my car but others do.

Pretty sure there is something in the loaner agreement about out of state driving. Insurance on the loaner may also be an issue out of state. Not worth the risk or chance...just drive the car that is owned or rent one.

Right,

Here is an excuse your friend should give the SA. have him say it word for word.

"I am kinda dumb and want to waste your time and the mechanics time. Just to get a car to use for a road trip; because I'm too cheap to do whats right and rent a car or stay home and think of other ways to "leach off societies perks."

Your friend is a jag-off! End of story.
