Question.... New bulbs???
Hi guys, just posting this up, got some new bulbs, due to the fact that my driver side was turning off while I was driving, so, BOOM, new bulbs did the trick, anyways, I just installed them last night, and hey cant complain for 25$ got them off ebay, from a power seller, so thought I would give them a try, so I got 5000k.......and they turned out to have a light purple tint to them, so I contacted the seller and he said, that they recommend up to 1 week of use so that the gases can burn, and the color (which should be white) can set...... is this correct? Here are some pics of the bulbs, not bad fro 25$ and FREE shipping

Shouldn't be any time required - bulbs are not something you 'break in'.
I'd put one of each in, and fire them at a white wall (preferable clean!) and see if there's a difference.
Give them about 2 minutes to stabilise before deciding if the new ones are a different colour.
If they're tending to purple, and are HIDs, then they'll be verging on 7000-8000 Kelvin as opposed to the stated 5000K, which should be a nice crisp clean white.
If the seller is saying he'll take them back (eBay buyer protection) after you've given them the week or so duration to settle down, then you may as well hang fire until that timeframe has lapsed, before deciding if they're keepers or returns.
