My warranty is almost up... need your help!
My warranty on my 2008 GS460 is up in about 1,500 miles. The car is a CPO car and has the extra 2 year warranty, extending it to 5 years or 100k from purchase. I bought the car with about 35k miles on it back in early 2011. It has been flawless the entire time I've owned it, with the exception of it having a tendency to chew through batteries (which Lexus has always replaced roadside for free).
Is there anything in particular I should have them look for before the standard warranty is up?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Have them perform an inspection... the 100 point inspection or whatever it is they call it. They'll give you a sheet that gives you the "current state" of your car. Should be just what the doctor ordered!
Also... should be free. It is at my dealer here in Indianapolis. They take good care of their customers. :-)
Good luck!

Good call.
When I was at 49700, I took the GS460 in with a couple of complaints:
1) flaking chrome on 3 wheels--got 1 new wheel and 3 refinished wheels
2) squeaking brakes--got new front brakes via TSIB
They also found a dying battery (which they replaced), a hose that needed replacement, and some belt they replaced.
All in all, it was almost $900 in repairs covered under the factory warranty. And that's how I became a loyal owner.

I had a similar situation when I took my car in under warranty (at 31,000 miles) and for a TSB. At the time, Lexus replaced my battery as it was weaker than specs, a fan belt, front brakes & (new, not shaved) rotors and a couple other things HVAC related that were no bother to me. Bill came out to nearly $2,000. Whether or not the invoice was padded to get corporate reimbursement is unknown but I left the shop a happy camper.
Will cost more than $2K if out of customer's pocket.
