Trouble transferring DroidX contacts to 2011 GS350
Anyone else having/had trouble transferring their DroidX contacts to their 2011 GS350 with Nav package? After removing all reference to the previous owners phone (my car is a CPO with 11,600 miles), I set up my phone easily on the new system. The two systems recognized each other quickly and I can place calls on the DroidX and hear them on the GS350.
After determining the phone connection was working and fully registered, I tried to transfer contacts from the phone to the GS- transfer always fails. I tried about 10 times over the last two days with same failure message. By the way, the phone's "discoverable" feature is ON the whole time. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with my 08 GS350 and my Droid Razr Maxx back in March. While I don't remember that exact solution it was a simple step that wasn't obvious. I believe after you perform the last step below "Select Hands Free" I believe you then have to touch the "Hands Free" button on your phone a second time before the transfer will actually occur or maybe you will see something like a "waiting for transfer" message that you actually have to press before it will start transferring.
The info below is taken from:

I put in your model year and phone and got the following instructions for sending a contact from the phone to the car:
On the Steering Wheel
1. Press the Off-Hook button
On the Navigation System
1. Select "Contacts"
2. If you are prompted to transfer new contacts, select "Yes" and if the transfer does not automatically start, proceed to "- On the Phone -".
3. Select "Options"
4. Select "Manage Contacts"
5. Select "Transfer Contacts"
6. Select whether you wish to "Add" or "Replace"
7. If the transfer does not automatically start, proceed to "- On the Phone -".
On the Phone
If phonebook transfer does not start automatically, please refer to the instructions below or for "Adding an Entry to the Phone Book".
1. Select "Contacts" from the main menu.
2. Press the "Menu" button.
3. Select "More"
4. Select "Share Name Cards"
5. Select any contacts you wish to transfer.
6. Select "Done"
7. Select "Share Via Bluetooth"
8. Select "Hands Free"
