There are basically only 3 dealerships within 300 miles of my home so the choices are limited. The dealership is providing labor for free since im there for the Valve Spring Recal which they make good money on. The cost im being charged for plugs are $18 each ($108) which I know is higher than what Sewell charges. But in light of the fact that the install of those plugs will be free is a big plus for me as this will save me at least $100 in install cost. After reading how much some dealerships are charging for plugs ($400+) on this forum, figured it should be done now.

The dealership I chose is also throwing in the oil change, which I understand is at dealer discretion to do or not, and selling the smart key (extra key), for less than the other 2 dealerships quoted. So im driving 60 miles to save a few bucks is what it boils down to. I don't mind however since I will be in their loaner car for 3 days. The overall package of what they are offering to me justifies driving a bit further and paying a bit extra for the plugs.

I know it's an old thread, but here's a pro-tip: If you bring it in for an engine recall, like the latest fuel system issue, you might be able to get them to do the plugs for cheap. I just had mine done for like $250 while they were doing the recall. I also checked with my local independent Lexus mechanic and he quoted me $310. Either way, it seems like a lot of cash for a simple plug change. Ran mine to 90K before changing. I think the engine might be idling a bit smoother now, and gas mileage might be up a tic, but nothing radical.

Changing those plugs are simple, I did mines on Saturday if anyone in the Brooklyn area want me to do they car and save all that money I can I got my plugs online for $70
