2008 GS350 Losing coolant but not overheating?
Hi all, my gs350 has been losing coolant but hasn't overheated, I first noticed a couple weeks ago when I checked the coolant level and found it was nearly empty, so I topped it up and a couple weeks later checked again and it was almost empty again, refilled then checked the next day and it was almost empty yet again. I've also noticed that the cabin gets quite hot while driving despite the heater being off (has happened the last couple of days only) & there are coolant spray marks all around the battery area, stemming from the bottom. I've noticed white smoke coming from the exhaust before, however this is typically when it is cold outside, and is not typically present. My oil also looks completely normal, not milky at all and at normal levels. Another thing is when revving there is a whining noise present which if I'm correct could indicate a bad water pump, however it has been present for as long as I've owned the car which is just over a year & 20k kms now. Any ideas as to what the problem could be or where to check? Thank you all!

These cars eat water pumps! Everyone should replace there at 90k miles. I have had good luck with aftermarket aisan brand water pump, its less then $100 and its so far lasted 100k miles. But yes replace it, before you destroy the engine. The leak usually comes from behind the water pump pulley. Also I would replace the serpentine belt, idler pulley, thermostat, cap
