Question Need some helpp!!

Hello, Ive had my lexus for about a week now. Its a 2006 Gs300 rwd with 60000 miles. I love the car but Ive noticed that its veryy bumpy at low speeds. Its got stock 17inch rims and by looking at the tires seems like they are low profile tires. My friend has a 2001 3series and its a much more comfortable then my 06 Lexus!! Do 06 gs's come with low profile tires? What can i do to improve the ride quality?? Thanks

17" wheels with 50 tirewall tires should not be bumpy at all.

I would suggest you change the tires. You probably have run-flats. My car came with those too, and they were horrible. My satisfaction with the car is way higher since I changed the tires.

The tire I think you should get is the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity. This is a well known comfort tire. Will cost you $636 for a set of 4 from tire rack.

Another tire which is very good is the Goodyear Assurance ComforTred. The ComforTred is the softest riding tire you can buy (it literally has a cushion layer between the rubber and the steel belt), but it does lose some handling relative to the Bridgestone I mentioned.

Both of these 2 tires are around the same price. Get these tires, and the car will drive like a traditional Lexus. Super quiet and smooth.

Oh and by the way - I know it sucks to change the tires on a car you just bought. But believe me you won't look back on it. I did it after just 800 miles, and I wish I had done it earlier.

06? How does the car sit, level? Maybe your shocks need replacing. Good time to upgrade to coilovers!

Thanks for your help guys! Everyone Ive talked to tells me those run-flats are awful. I think im going to get my tires changed up to something more comfortable cause honestly i feel like im damaging the car thats how rough it is and I cant stand it!... My car looks level i would say ...How much would coilovers cost out the door installed and would that improve the ride quality by alot? whats a good brand

I don't think you need coil overs. These are usually bought by people who feel the stock suspension is too soft, and who don't have the Active Suspension option.

I would suggest you do tires first. If that's not enough then look into Suspension modifications.

I was just looking at my tires and turns out they are Michelin Energy xse mxv4 P225/50R17... Are these the factory ones and how would i know if they are run flats or not?...Are these tires known to make the GS ride rough?? ...Would it be possible they have to much air inside of them?
