2008 GS460 15K service help
My dealer in Scottsdale, AZ wants $505.00 to do the 15k service. This seems very high for what they will do:
Rotate tires, Oil Change (non-synthetic), clean cabin air filter, replace engine air filter, lube, road test.
I bought the cabin air filter on line for $21 but I cant find the engine air filter anywhere online.
Can I ask for comments on the price of the service and where I can locate the engine air filter.
Thanks

It's simple. Get your oil changed, tires rotated at Toyota or wherever. Buy the filters online and change them yourself in a few minutes. Reap the savings.
Check sewell for the filters, I bought both types from them. When I looked at my filter, it still looked new... no need to replace unless it's turning black.

My major question is still where to find the engine air filter or a part number for it? I have tried Parts Train and Auto Parts Warehouse and neither carry the engine air filter.

I couldn't find it online either, so I called all of the local dealers in Houston that are near me, and bought it for $36.

I don't know about the GS 460, but for my '07 GS350 I went to Auto Zone. They had a cabin filter, and ordered a FRAM oil filter - had it in 2 days. The cabin filter was $14.99, the air filter was $18.99. I paid under $4.00 for an oil filter at a local Toyota dealer, which cost over $8.00 at Lexus (SAME filter). The total cost of the three filters was less than Lexus wanted just for the cabin filter ($39.99). I feel that with a little research on the internet, you can save substantially. Hope this helps.

Go to Bell Lexus and see Doug Boadt. The guy is truly the best in the business. Bell Lexus has always seemed reasonable to me. $500 for a 15k service is a bit high. Might seem more normal for a 30k service
