Tire Opinions

Hey Toney, you know how I am. After a while, I gotta change shoes. Too much toe jam in the old ones.
I have pics of my new wheels while they are being made. If they turn out as good as I think, I may not change again for quite a while.
Just remember when I had the Maya GR5 wheels(on the SC). I liked them so much that I kept them until I got rid of the car.

Thats so funny. am waiting for a set of the same tires. I have heard a lot of good stuff about the Michellin Pilot sport AS plus. I just hope it wont rub in the back because the section width is .44" wider than the old Falken I was running. I bout wire snips to cut the fender lip back if needed

Add to that, I have a set of the Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus on the black300. I love them but the sidewalls are bulky causing tire dressing sling.
They arrived in 2 days and they look cool. They have a cool looking tread pattern and the sidewalls are smooth. Now I just need to ride on them.

I've only driven on the new Extreme Continental DWS about 25 miles since they were installed today but it seems the Tirerack testers were dead on target.
They are a little more quiet than the Michelins and seems qite sticky for an all-season tire. One negative comment by tirerack was the tire seems to require steering wheel adjustment to go straight at times. It's a teeny and minoe thing, heck....might even be the power of suggestion but I felt it. Tell you what, I prefer the Michelin performance but I also prefer the Conti quiet and cool look.
