3M Clearbra or AeroTect
#46
I had the clear bra on my car for only a few months before a rock or something flew up and shredded the clear bra. Granted it probably saved my paint but now the clear bra in that area is clumped and shredded. I havent had any issues with the clear bra yellowing and it has been over a year, but the ripped bra drives me nuts.

ok. just got mine done today and i ask fransisco about the yellowing and fading.
he says that venture has lifetime warranty on it so there is no need to worry. in the case of rominl's fading, he does not know anyone element that would cause that to happen. things like the environment, sun exposure...etc. the good thing is, its under warranty.
to take care of venture, you can use plexus.
thats all folks.

ouch guys... apparently there is a fine print to venture film's warranty
up to 5% yellowing is expected and they won't cover it, and extra obvious on a white car.
Aerotect will still take care of me, but I have to pay for labor, this is damn expensive

If you are replacing the film, what happens if the replacement film yellows as well? From what Francisco and Jason told me, the film will always discolor a bit over time.

it will just yellow again, they told me to do clearbra on the fenders too, so when it yellows, it won't be as noticeable, i made the appointment but i am still deciding if i want to do it.. sigh...
here are some pics
notice the color difference between the hood and the fender

^ The yellowing is far more noticeable on white or pearl-white cars. You won't notice at all on dark colors like black or charcoal. I could accept this if the film was already 3-4 yrs old, but we all had our venture film put on less than a yr ago and it started yellowing after only 6 mos - very disturbing. . .

Guys..... we drive a lexus. They will take care of it no matter what. I had a prob with my steering wheel position and lexus adjusted it in the wrong way. They offered to pick up my car from home or work to take care of the problem and they will bring it back. We are not driving fords, or chevys. They will take care of it.

driving a lexus doesn't mean crap to be honest, it's just a car, maybe a nicer one. you aren't above the world
and you are dealing with a 3rd party company, they don't care what car you have.... kevin, when are you going to aerotect? maybe we can go together, i need mine redone as well. mine also got issues within a year, i also want to see what's the best option

I think regardless of what film we use, on any white car, clear bra will show yellowing of any kind. Film unfortunately will deteriorate over time because of the exposure to the sun. Whether it is Venture, 3M or etc, it will yellow to some extent. It just shows more on white for obvious reasons.
