I'm a little confused! I WAS planning on doing an oil change on our AWD GS350, but it seems a bit more confusing that the typical oil change. What exactly is the SST tool? and what sort of filter do you need? Does the GS not take the conventional oil filter by for example, K&N? where in the world is the oil draining from other than the oil pan, & filter plug? the OP mentioned something a panel in the front of the car? or was he referring to the oil filter? dang...lots of questions!
THANKS in advance guys!

Eric

OP's instruction is pretty much straight forward.
i just did my first oil change yesterday.

SST tool is just an oil cap to remove oil filters. i'm using the same one i used for my camry and g35. there's even a hole for a socket wrench even if you don't have the oil cap. unlike conventional oil filters, you just swap out the filter inside the housing, and replace the O-ring. if you look under the panel, there's a small section of squared panel towards driver side that you can open up. the oil filter housing is right there..

this is where i ordered my filters. mine was stamped 'A5' even though it says 'A2', but just like the OP said, same filters. i didn't know we get a discount from the Sewell, but you still get discount based on the quantity, plus i needed the air filter & cabin filter for my mom's lexus which were cheaper than the Sewell. i guess pretty much the same price.

Huh ? Wix makes a oil fliter that works with the 2GR-FSE engine ? Please provide a link. Last I checked, only Toyota has the specific part for the oil filter element (the GS350 does not use a conventional spin on metal filter)

I made a new thread with my own pictures and instructions. I thank the original poster here, since I followed most of what was written here.
