Badge removal on a 2006 GS300
Has anyone doe this to a 2006 GS? I want to clean up the look of the rear by taking off the "Lexus" and the "GS300" emblems. Are they glued on or are they held in by pins which will leave holes when they are taken off?

"Yep! Did it and it was tape with pins (2 for each badge)."
When the badges are off,do the holes look bad? Can you fill them with something ? If it looks horrible,I will have a bodyshop take care of it.Thanks for the replies!!

Yes, did it.. they are taped and there are pins.. Use hair dryer to heat them up then gently pry off with something non metalic so you don't scratch the paint.. For the holes, a little bondo, touchup paint, clear coat, wetsand and polish..

looks great, yet looks like something is missing. having a choice between both, i think i can live with both. but, man what a clean look. only thing is a lot of people will wonder if its a 06 or 07, but who cares you know what you have

you can still tell if it is a 06 or 07 by the shark fin.

That actually looks pretty sharp. It seems like people remove the badges because they want other people to think that it's a 430. I see lots of BMWs and Mercedes like that. I'm proud to own a 300.

negative on that LAU907 the GS hybrid doesnt have the sharkfin. you can probably tell by the wheels, but if the owner changed the wheels i think it will be difficult to tell the difference without a closer look
