Default Hid Fogs (installed) Wow (Pics uploaded!)

So two days ago, I started taking the front wheels off, removing the panel behind it, about to start following directions sent from xenon.
DOH, they are based off of a NON GS 450h. They are meant for a regular GS.
The difference is that my battery is in the trunk and I have electrical motors cramming the front so no real room for ballasts. SO I put it all back together, took it to my buddy at the dealer and we worked on it together. He was like dang, no room and the battery is in the back. wow.
ANyways after 4 hours, we routed the charge directly to the fuse box, on it's own circut so no chance for a short. Installed the ballasts to the back of the fog housing, and grounded everything properly. He only charged me for $75, so instead of $105/hr it was about 80 bucks.
He's great and it looks awesome. I got the 6000K's. They NOW make my OEM 4300K HID low beams look DULL. Now I know what I'll be purchasing next.
Just writing this now to give a heads up. I will upload pics hopefully tonight.
Hasta.

Nice, please post pics. I've got a 450h as well and was planning to go with the HID fogs but didn't know it's this difficult.

But can't you use the 9006 power socket and connect the HID kit directly instead of connecting to the battery with a relay? I've got a 05 RX330 and I hooked up 9006 HID kit directly to the factory harness, no problem so far.

yes you can use the 9006 socket which is a direct connect from the kit directly to the back of the existing filament fog. BUT you they sill need extra power b/c the ignitor brings the standard (fogs from a ~40 volt) to an upgraded 1200 volt. wow, i know. that's the extra power you need.
THis would have taken me 45 minutes with a normal GS. But the hybrid is a different story. More complicated, no room. GOtta use some brain power to figure out space and hookups. But in the end it'll be fine.

I think HID ignitor will only fire up 12000V during startup, and once the xenon is warmed up it drops back to 12V/35W. But you are correct, you need the extra power for the safe side.

I can't wait to see these badboyz in action.

Hey Jace7, how long did it take for XenonDepot to respond your emails? I sent like 3 emails for the past 2 days and no replies. The place is starting to seem sketchy now.

How much ground do the HID fogs actually illuminate? Could you take some pics of the ground in front of the car and possibly in front of a wall?

I called steve in Canada personally, but I think b/c of the phone call he was very on top of returning a email.

There were time when I emailed him and said I'll be at this specific number for the next 30 minutes, and he'd call within that time.
He was always on top of emails from me and voice mails.
