You have just revived a 9-year old thread when there was a recent thread about MPG's linked below.

So I screwed up. I forgot I was searching mpg in one window and days later responded because I thought it was on top of where I usually lurk in the 2GS forum.

My GS 300 does exactly the same. How on earth is this possible? If the superior, classic 4.3 V8 can get virtually the same mpg as the oil burning DI 3.0 V6, why the hell did they bother making the stupid 3.0? And why did I stupidly buy it.

I got my GS 430 in March.
I average just about 18-19 mpg around town. On the highways here in TN, with an average cruise speed of 75 I can get 27-28. Downhills help, and my friend who has a GS300 is very jealous of my mpg. I think he wanted a 430 but thought he'd lose too many mpg.
Nothin' but premium for me. Switch between BP/Amoco Ultimate Premium and Shell V-Power.
