Used GSs for sale already !!
I noticed 2 06 gs300's at a local small used car lot, marked at $39K each asking....one with 2k and other w 11k, non-nav, non-ML vehicles.....I asked where they got them, it was at the Fontana Auto Auction.....I am amazed theyre there already !! To think these guys probably picked them up for mid 30's.... I expect the used car to get better in the next few months, I am sure you can pick up a clean 06 with <15K miles for around 35K or less when the 07 GS350 comes out

Well, the 3rd gen GS has been available for almost 1.5 years now.
You're right about the GS300 though, the GS350 will likely hurt the resale value on the 300s (and the 430s as well).

One of the reasons people trade cars with low miles is that they didn't take it for a real test drive before buying. A perspective buyer can't drive a car 10 miles on a sunny Saturday afternoon and really know if the car is right for them. It takes time to get a handle on ergonomics, visibility, performance, etc. Dealers used to let customers take a car home for the weekend, and then decide. Are there any dealers who do this now?
The other source of luxury cars with low miles are high income buyers who have too many cars to drive any of them often. I have a neighbor with 5 cars who just traded a 3 year old 911S cabriolet with only 3K miles for a newer 911S. He only drives it on sunny weekends, and he never drives very far. He's about to trade his 2 year old S class MB for the new S Class - that car's got only 7K miles.

I purchased my GS430 used last november with only 4000 miles. The former owner was a doctor who didn't realize that the GS430 was "sporty"...he traded it in for an LS430.
