For the love of God, it is not really hard to order those 5-spoke GS430 wheels for your GS300 AWD!!!

Why spend another $2K+on a new set of of aftermarket or Lexus optional rims (not factory installed) and tires when you are paying this much already for a GS300AWD? This will make it approach GS430 territory and at that point, who cares about AWD, the V8 is at your reach.

I wonder if you could get the wheels thrown in during negotiations...

You can add anything to the negotiations, but in the end, the dealer will make money on whatever was added to the deal regardless.

It's not going to be like the previous GS430 generation's factory upgrade of only $200 to $300 to go from 16 to 17'". When are you talking about Dealer accessories for rims you are talking several thousand dollars. You can negotiate, but it's still a hefty upgrade.

Brilliant idea of doing a "First Drive" in March in Finland with Spring only a few days away. I know I grilled my Lexus saleman in Oklahoma at great length on how my new GS would handle in the Tundra. Let me guess next they are going to test the new RX vs ML in the Rain Forests of Paraguay. Who thinks up this stuff. Sounds like someone did something wrong and got sent to Finland as punishment.

I detect sarcasm in your response above. There's still snow on the ground, it's still cold and wintry outside, what else do you need in a real world test to test AWD. Does Finland have a different type of road than the US?

I guess its the timing of it so close to Spring that set me off and just seemed quite funny given that it was 85 degrees here yesterday. Also my point was why not test it in the Northeast where there is plenty of snow instead of on an iceberg an ocean away from any US buyers.

Understood and you are probably right about all these exotic locations to test vehicles. There is some testing of some new Mercedes in South Africa recently, but that was due to it was top secret and easier to keep under wraps over there.
