Hey guys!

So, I am considering picking up a JDM 2JZ-GE VVTi from a local JDM engine distributor here in Sacramento. They have a longblock that includes all the accessories and is under 50K miles, good compression, etc all for $799. One thing I noticed from the picture is that their engine has a mechanical fan coming off of the water pump where my GS300 has electric fans. Can I just swap out the water pump? And, besides emissions components, are there any other substantial differences between the two motors that I should be aware of? (btw, I did try searching on the subject and found very limited information)

Yes, if it's a VVT-I 2JZ-GE then they are interchangeable. Just replace the fan for a regular pulley.
