Freak knock sensor relate issue
I do not usually have issues that I cannot solve on my own, so this is very odd asking for help...
Specimen - 02' gs430 with 120k
Issue - for the last few months the CEL would come on, indicating an issue with knock sensor bank 1
When the light is on, the limp mode is strong, not letting the trans shift properly and the power down to 25% (what it feels like)
I carried my code reader with me, and When I reset the CEL, and the car would absolutely rip.
Current day - finally got the funds to do a replacement sensor, I get a parts store sensor.
Fight with the damn intake manifold, finally get it off and realize I need to do both sensors because I do not ever want to do that again. And I decided to be the starter rebuild the same time.
Installed the parts store sensors, and new OEM gaskets, and the rebuilt starter.
The car would fall flat on its face, not shift properly; and would generally feel like it was pulling timing to the point it had no power. I checked everywhere for vacuum leaks, at all new gaskets, checked all hoses, fittings, injector clips… You name it I checked it
I thought that maybe it was a parts store sensor issue, so I decided to go all out and do the OEM sensors, and clips. Installed them last night, and I still have a similar issue. I reset the ECU.
Now, sometimes the car runs like a raped ape, and other times it feels like it is pulling so much timing that it falls flat on its face. The only changes are new OEM knock sensors, new OEM gaskets, fresh starter rebuild with OEM parts.
IDK if it's a ACIS issue, or if there is genuine knock there now.
Any advice?
I am frustrated, and stumped...

I decided to seafoam the car today, craziest damn thing - after the fill up, it runs like a bat out of hell now with no issues. Literally night and day with no other changes.
