Default car idle drops when changing gears.

My "headlight on" light also is not working? when i turn my headlights on i dont see the little green light in my dash anymore.. I know they are probably not related, but i am really bothered by both these small issues.

My car idle drops when changing gears, only from drive to neutral or reverse to park. It drops very low to about 200-300 rpm and the car shakes, then instantly the idle jumps back to normal. Whats frustrating me is the fact that this happens only sometimes, and usually when its cold outside. I cannot recreate the problem for any mechanic to see since it only does it when it wants. No check engine light, and the car runs like a champ. I have been searching forums every where and it seems like im the only one with the problem.

Also, the little green light in my dash has always worked when i turn my lights on. its just very bothersome because when i am driving i look at the dash and think my lights are off. Also i changed my inner lights out with leds and didnt like the way they looked, when i put the regular inner lights back in they wouldnt work again even with the leds. Again i dont think its related cause that happened almost to years ago.

Can someone shed some light, preferably in my dash or on this rpm problem thats obviously not bright enough for any mechanic to see and help with.
