i found a buyer for my gs300. he didn't wanna give full asking so i took out my double din alpine screen. i removed all the stuff. i cut the wires, keys were still in ignition and shifter was all the way down. as i started cutting the wires and i noticed my dome lights turned off. didn't think anything of it. then i put the car back in park once everything was removed. now tranny stuck in park. selling tomorrow, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your fuses. You probably inadvertently shorted a wire when cutting and blew one.

x's 2 ^^ Its certainly the fuse. its a 10 amp fuse, cant remember which one, I think its no. 3 under the driver side panel. For some reason the radio shares the same fuse as the dome light and tranny brake/lock mechanism.Its no biggie, just replace and you're good to go.

just ran to walmart to get fuses. i'm praying this works. thanks for the responses guys, i really really appreciate it!

No biggie. I had the same problem a while back cause a wire got exposed behind the deck, made me learn

IT WORKED!! thank you so much everyone for the advice. I'm going to miss her so much but i need to get an SUV as I'm expecting another child. I told my wife, as soon as the kids are out of car seats and in booster seats, I'm getting another gs!
