Default Does this look right?



Was looking at my motor today and noticed the empty spot by the oil dip stick.Is something missing or is this normal?

I've seen plenty of unused threaded holes in plenty of engines.

Good question. The 2jz is used in 9 different applications, include the gte versions and you have about 15 different applications. Could be minor wire routing in which a bolt with a clip on it is used. Thats the side where the GTE intake plenum is located, could be a mounting bracket for it.

That's a 1UZ (or 3UZ) - but the same applies to it, that motor is on lots of other cars and the hole is most likely used in one of those.
