So i bought an intake last week finally came in. I have a 98 gs300 the intake was specified for 98-00 gs300. mafs fits so its the right piping. so while installing it I've noticed that the OEM intake has 3 vacuum lines as for the one I bought has 2 holes for 2 vacuum line. what do I do now? Do i put a breather on one of the oem ones?
okay now I encountered a new problem after installing the intake I start the car up rpm keeps jumping feeling like its going to stall. what can it be....?
if directly related to the install, sounds like dirty MAF
could also be if you had reset the ECU or disconnected power the car is still trying to find itself.
I clean the maf and cleaned the throttle body. I install the intake hesitation like gone stall. took it apart put back the oem one and it went away. I reset the ecu and everything.
did you kink one of the vacuum lines? put the maf pointing in the right way? is all the couplings on tight no air leaks?
i would check all of that, it should work fine
what kind of intake is it that you bought?

right, make sure the MAF is pointing the right way
and also make sure you have the rubber gasket for it as well.

no kinks at all, maf facing correctly. coupling and maf gasket sealed pretty well. injen
heres the real question about how to install properly. which 2 hoses to I put together on the tee splitter? the one going to the valve cover and the one going to the head? or?
