Hi,

I was wondering if anyone on here could give me some advice on whether or not this Hid conversion kit will work on my car fitted with the factory D2R hids.

They say its ''fits directly into headlight units already setup for D2S or D2R Xenon systems''. Reason i'm looking at this kit is cause i find the factory stuff poor compared to more up to date stuff and want better road lighting. I've restored the headlight lens so i know thats clean and clear.But when i was looking to order new replacement D2R bulbs i came across this kit and thought well new 55watt ballasts plus new bulbs should get me the better lighting i'm after.

I just don't wanna spend 170GBP / 285USD plus shipping cost and take the front of my car apart only to find it won't fit.

if you're not using projectors, do not get D2S-- youre gonna be blinding people without the proper cutoff

also, 55W will run hotter.

additionally, IIRC, pretty sure it will require some housing modification to fit one into the other.

Not using projectors so i'll be using a D2R setup. Is it a problem if they run hotter?
