Info on 430 taillight swap
So i picked up a set of 01+ tails for my 99. I got them for a good price but 1 side is missing the woring harness, is there a diy or write up to mod the 98 harness to work with the 01+ tail lights? Or should i track down a harness? Thanks

No i did and the only right ups dont explain the wiring, just diagrams from parts ordering. So next time you want to be a **** realize i know how to use a search bar and google.

You're better off searching with google and add 'clublexus' and/or 'lexus gs' to your search.

I would love to mod my 98's tails to the '01+ styled red/whites etc. but the harness thing always scares me off! It shouldn't because I've messed with more complicated stuff but it always seems like car electronics specially = rocket science (that whole "ground" thing and current differences between LED/halogen throw me for a loop).

its actually an easy mod to do, but the best way is to buy the oem harness from carson toyota/lexus in cali (online)....
they are only 35 each, but if you really wanna hack it,you gotta solder in 921 sockets for the reverse lights..
i did the orange removal on my 99 lights and the 01-05 lights still look better imo...

Thought if you bought new oem 01+ tails they came with the harness? There's a brand new set on eBay in the toyota boxes for like 300$ said it had harnesses, and was considering buying them
