Blown gs400 engine need help
Got a 99 gs400 with 153,000.So I came outside to start the car and it gave me a little trouble starting.it fired up fine like it usually did.i would usually have to crank it several times before it runs.the women I bought it off said it had a new starter.but anyway I got off the highway and everything was fine.i was cruising when a girl walked into the middle of the street.so I came to a very fast stop and noticed a knocking sound coming from the engine.i pulled over right away and checked the oil.the level was fine but it had very fine bubbles(oil changed 20 miles before).drove the car home and had it towed to Lexus of Warwick ri and they told me the engine is gone. And also gave me a rediculous quote 7000 for a new engine and labor.so I brought the car home and let it sit for a month.being curious I started it again and now I have two engine codes p0340 camshaft sensor and p1345 manufacturer control ignition system or misfire.could the code 1345 cause the knocking because it the oil control valve?I've owned the car less than a year so I'm not too happy.any help or suggestions would be great
