I just bought a used 98 gs300. I found water under the carpet on driver side. Lifting carpet and the black pvc panel on the floor under brake pedal I found the sponge on underside dripping wet about 6 to 8 inches up from the bottom of the pvc edge. I dried it out with hair dryer but after 1 day of use it is wet again so that I could sponge it up. I suspect air conditioning problem with the drain but the drain is working on passenger side....which is not wet under the carpet..I want to go further into dismantling to see where it is coming from to effect repairs if possible but don't know where to start. :. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, man. There is a ton of info on the subject if you search for it. Not trying to be rude, but there are some good threads on the subject. I had the problem, it ended up being my evaporator housing was cracked.... It could also be your sunroof drains are plugged. Id start with the easy fixes and go from there.

I pulled back carpet enough to see bottom of evaporator where dripping occurs. Suspect cracked evaporator housing but don't know how to get into it for removal and repair.
