Thanks for any input guys I appreciate it...
Try turning the rubber thing that sits on top of the spring on whatever side is creaking. Mine does the same, So i turn em about 1/4-1/2 turn and it goes away lol. the rubber looks really worn on mine.

Interesting, so it turned out to be the upper balljoint?

I'm experiencing the same problem. Since I have also replaced the balljoints/tie rods, I was thinking it was either the brake caliper/hardware, upper control arm, or fender liner stress.

I can hear it when I just gently apply the brakes at low speed. Doesn't seem to happen under any other conditions.

WD-40 is not a lube, it is a rust preventative solvent and degreaser and it will dissolve your grease.
It will however, isolate your problem.

Good luck

I assume there is no good way to get under the boot and grease those?

not my upper balljoint, but the rubber seat on top of the spring itself.
