Default Anyone had their steering wheel redone (woodgrain) by CarID?

I've bought an 01 gs300 steering wheel that needs completely redone and plan on sending it off to CarID to have them redo the leather and add the wood as well, but I cant find anything in this forum on them. Has anyone had work done with them and if so how did it turn out? I was quoted aprox. 275.00 (which sounded cheap to me) to have all the leather redone and the wood grain to match as well. I noticed there was one review on the website that seemed legit stating how well it turned out on someones gs, but I was hoping maybe someone on here had tried them already??

Judging from the link it looks like the "wood" is a hydrographic print and not using the real wood

Crap. I just got off of the phone with them... It's not real, its a wood look finish that is clear coated. Figures for a price like that it would be fake. So back to the drawing board.

Try this place. They have been around for at least 10 years.

Thanks!
I'm gonna call them first thing in the morning. Any idea of a ballpark price range?

Where you able to get a price quote from them? I was looking to get the same thing done to my wheel.

$300-500 would be my best guess.

I just got off the phone with them a couple minutes ago and was quoted 499.00 + shipping and handling + sample of your interior wood + core. Process takes 2.5 weeks. I've decided for that kinda money I'd rather get coilovers.
