01 GS430 compared to Chrysler 300c or IS350?
Thinking about selling my car and so far the only 2 cars that caught my fancy so far were the 05+ Chrysler 300c hemi and the Lexus IS 350. Compared to my current 01 gs430 and people with the same car as me, which one would u suggest would be an upgrade from what I currently have?

They all suit different needs/demands. I would still say that your current whip defeats the three. The Chrysler has major power, big and spacious but do you want to deal with Chrysler problems as well as the MPG's? The IS350 is just as fast as your GS430 however is smaller but you get that Lexus reliability. It's up to you. But I would be hard pressed not to stay with the GS.

are Chrysler 300's known for problems? THe is350 is way faster than my gs430. I think I read it runs 13.3 1/4 mi, mine runs 14.1-14.3 1/4, 1 complete second is a huge different in the 1/4 mi to me. I like the fact that both don't have timing belts that need to be replaced like mine, is a little smaller and sportier than mine, but still has 4 doors and power
I know three cats who own Chrysler 300's. One had to replace his ECU ($3000), the other two had them die on the road more than once at highway speeds. Very, very scary....

300's are just a dime a dozen and all over the place everywhere along with chargers and magnums with 22in wheels. i remember the Very first day i saw one in a casino i thought it was awesome. too many on the road for me to want to ever own one though. Same with new Camaro's. Awesome when you saw your first one, now too many to ever compare. My buddy has an IS-F and it is bad ***. However, i have owned a ton of vehicles and the GS ranks easily as one of my favorites for many reasons. Not to mention no car payment

Let me just say that Chrysler comes up with good designs and ideas, but their quality of Trannys/Engines and probably other components are CrAP... I although I love Challengers and Chargers to death, I will never buy a Chrysler product until there is a way to swap a toyota powertrain into them.

Stick with your GS, The chrysler 300 is garbarge in the long term, things always seem to fall apart. If you put some money in the gs it will last for the long run and you will have no car payments.

thanks guys for the advice about the Chrysler 300c's. I think you guys changed my mind about them, but not so much about the is350. You guys talk about my 01 gs430 like there are tons of mods to make it as fast as the is350, yet I don't recall anyone normally aspirated gs 430's running 13.3 in the 1/4 mile even with a tons of mods, and the mods we have for our car isn't impressive at all and easy to put on. I came from several cars with tons of mods. Even something as simple as an intake, takes re-wiring your car for it to work properly. So I don't think the gs430 is easy to mod at all and the is350 doesn't even need much modding since it's already 1 second faster than my car to start with, any minor mods would put it in the 12 second 1/4 mile range which is literally like Vette, Sportscars, muscle car range and compete with probablu 95% of the stuff on the road today and beat it
