ha ha! i'm with you man!! after 15 yrs plus of loud bass in my cars, my hearing is shot, no mas.
I'm also running a 5 channel Infinity Amp to run all my components in the car and the sub in the trunk.
My hearing is done too.. lol we used to get getto when I was a kid and put house speakers in my uncle's car.. big *** gem sound in the back seat cause we didn't know any better..lol
wouldn't mind installing a free air sub myself. What size is the GS sub again?
It's better if you do a search, I don't remember what size the OEM sub is.
P.S. It's very hard to get a free air sub these days. The RF that I installed came with instructions on how to build a box for it. I mounted the box I built for it to the bottom part of the rear deck. looks nice and neat, no rattle no weigh-down. even used the old stock speaker cover for it.

Ha Ha!, me too man, I had home stereo speakers, then after one class of wood shop built boxes for 6x9 speakers... it was soo ghetto, but man High School was fun and loud, and the girls didnt care how your sound came out the car, as long as they didnt have to walk...
Damn that looks nice but possible sun damage scares me.. but i guess it don't matter it it's covered or uncovered..does it?
The sub is not covered, i put the stock sub speaker cover back over but I couldn't get it to stay, as i had broken it a bit in the removal process, but there's no sun damage that i know of.
