O2 Sensor Wire Question!
Ok so I'm trying to swap out my oxygen sensor, I think it's bank 2 sensor 1. Not much to work with, still trying to figure it out. Anyway I noticed one of the wires that go into the connector (car side, not sensor side) came out. So I pryed out the round rubber boot thing and put the wire back through. Is that all that is needed to fix the wire or should it be soldered or something? Want to make sure I did it right. Thanks!

it should be the O2 sensor and the wire that snaps into a harness. there are usually 1 or 2 rubber grommits on the new wire that fit in the holes you pried the other one(s) out of.

You mean the wire pull out of the connector with the pin still on it? Or the wire pulled out of the pin?
If the pin pulled out it should be ok reinserted snugly, but just keep an eye on it since the tiny plastic retainer tab in the connector is probably broke since it came out in the first place.
If the wire pulled out of the pin or broke then it should be soldered.
If your cel is still on, disconnect the battery or ecu fuse for a few minutes to reset the ecu.

It's the harness connector that comes from the car and connects to the oxygen sensor. If you look on the back of the plastic harness, there are 4 wires each going through a small round rubber piece to the pins. One of my wires was hanging or broke off and was not connected to the harness anymore. So I put the wire back through the little rubber hole but now I'm thinking it has to be soldered back to the pin? Any ideas on how to do this?
