02 GS300 keyless issues
So I've been at this for about a month now trying to get my keyless entry system to work.
Here is where I'm at. I bought the car 2 years ago with just a key that I assume was a valet key or master without buttons. I was able to program another key with buttons to be able to start the car but still cannot get the unlock lock, and trunk buttons to work at all.
I have replaced all my door lock actuators, I have replaced my ECU with a new one that was virgin so the new key is the master on this one and is the only key that will start the car. I have replaced the batteries in each remote multiple times (I've got 3 keys cut and with new batteries in the remote). I've also replaced the transponder receiver module that gets the signal for the door locks on the passenger side of the walls around the trunk deck on LHD cars.
Lastly, I can get the car into programming mode for remotes by doing the open door, sticking the key in and removing, locking and unlocking 5 times, closing the door, repeating door locks, sticking the key in, and turning to on and then off and remove.
When I turn the key and then remove the door locks do the thing they should where the door locks cycle one time indicating it is in programming mode. But also the hazard lights blink 3 times? I haven't seen this happen in any videos or instructions on how to program the remotes except in one video from a guy with an aristo.
But either way. I'm stuck trying to figure out if the hazard flash is an indicator that there is an error that I'm un aware of? Because once it goes into programming mode and this happens. I've tried all 3 keys and non of them will make the car respond while doing the hold of the lock and unlock for 1.5 seconds and then pressing lock. They don't cycle at all to confirm a bad signal or success.
Any help is welcome and I haven't been able to find on this forum anyone else with this issue like mine. So any master techs out there that know the issue please let me know!
