Picked up another GS430

Nice car, great find. Wow, these things are far cheaper in America. I know I paid way too much for mine 2-yrs ago, but my thinking was, "you can buy this amazing 2000 GS that looks and drives like new: Or you can buy a 1-year-old Accord that in 5-years will look and drive like its worn out." You just can't go wrong with these cars, but I am not sure the 2008/9/10 Lexus will be holding up like these ones.

Anyways, if i ever need a project, i'm not even going to bother searching in canada, unless its a Soarer/Aristo!

Update on my project, it's still moving along just at a slower pace than I had hoped.
5.3L LS engine out of an 04' Avalanche truck.
Transmission: 4L80E from an 02' Chevy Silverado 2500
Engine on the stand.
Plugs all looked good.
Nice and clean under the valve cover other than some debris that fell in when I pulled it off.
Parts pulled.
Heads initially looked pretty clean.
Normal carbon buildbup in the chambers.
Cylinder walls look good.
Short block is ready for a cam/timing chain swap.
Heads are cleaned up and ready for a valve spring swap.
This is what 15 cans of engine degreaser and brake cleaner will get you.
Got the turbo in this week. Precision 7675 (76mm) with the billet wheel and .96 AR
I need to get the engine put together after I get a few more parts. Next up is to pull the stock 4.3L 3UZFE engine and transmission to make room for the LS engine.

hmmmm i had talked to my mechanic about this when i was entertaining doing the swap and he said NOT to use the trucks motors, i dont recall why though. so i still want a total of this bad boy....maybe i can have you down for a few days to do this to mine, if its finally cost efficient for me

There are a multitude of LS guys making huge hp (600hp-1000hp+) with the small 4.8L and 5.3L truck engines. In that regard I'm not blazing any trails, just following the proven path to the destination. My goal is to make ~700rwhp thru a 4000rpm Circle D converter and 4L80E transmission, which would be around 850 crank hp.
