Just Drive it...wait till it goes then just drop in a engine...

I had a 289k crown vic that would smoke like a cheech and chong. All I did was switch to high mileage Valvoline and lucus full syn oil treatment ( swap with one of the qts of oil) and it worked quite well

I am soo glad to see you are at 300k any major repairs???

leave stock weight oil in it and keep driving as long as it only smokes on start up i consider it normal especially at 300k most of the lexus v8's smoke at around 150k mark. mine started at 130k but only after sitting a day or 2. just keep your oil topped off

So the recommendation for high mileage is to not run full synthetic oil even if its high mileage Mobil1 full synthetic? I'm sitting right at 165,000 on the clock, and just did an oil change with said oil. Should I change to conventional Mobil1?

I've witnessed a 99 LS400 clean condition with only 420k+! You would think it only had about 100k. owner took really good care of it.

When you have over 200000km you should stop using synthetic oil it's thinner so on older cars it starts to leak and so on..... If your burning oil you can add this stuff I forget the name I will try & find out tomorrow, anyway I had a VR6 that's used to burn oil & I would add this stuff and it would actually work! USE REGULAR OIL IT'S POINTLESS AND A WAIST OF YOUR MONEY USING SYNTHETIC OIL ON A CAR WITH OVER 200000km!!!

Drive it until it breaks down. Why fix something that's not broken?

Yea, switching to synthetic is a once mineral has been used you have to stick to it. On the molecular level, synthetics are all the same size (thus the reason why it protects better by making more contact to internal parts) minerals on the molecular levels are all different sizes. Once they get into gaskets, they create cavities that are larger than synthetics and then begin to seep through.
