Corvette wheels on my GS?
Hey guys,
I recently got new shoes for my 2005 C6. Now I have the stock 5 spokes sitting In my garage. So I figured I would try and put them to use. How hard would it be to fit these on my GS. I understand about the bolt pattern not being the same. I'm gonna need adapters for sure. But does anyone know if with the offset and other deminsions if it's even possible.
Thanks

They are staggered diameter (rear tires are 1" taller than the front) which will likely cause an issue for the traction control and ABS systems; cars like the Corvette are designed and programmed for this, but the Lexus cars like to have the same diameter front & rear. The staggered width isn't a problem.
You'll need a decent-sized spacer/adapter because the Corvette wheels are very high offset. I'm not crazy about doing stuff like this (I HATE adapters, and the Lexus cars are very sensitive to hub-centricity) and I'm a self-admitted wheel snob. Staggered diameters look weird on cars that weren't meant for it; some of the MR2 guys do it and it looks very odd to me.

Although I am rolling an SC the offset should be just about the same on the GS. In order to run C6 wheels your gonna need your fenders rolled and pulled slightly in the rear even if your not dropped. I have the 18/19 stag setup and I am running a 295/30/19 on the rear. You will need 25mm adapters and then your good. Go for it man if you dont like it then sell them to me. LOL

98Gs4001UZ Don't get discouraged. you can definitely make this happen with the proper adapters. As mentioned by SoCalSC4 the factory vette wheels are super high offset so getting a 25mm adapter or bigger is not a problem. However you will not throw off your ABS or traction control as long as your tires are appropriate height.
If I'm not mistaken the OEM 5 spoke C6 vette wheels are as follows
Front 18x8.5 +56
Rear 19x10 +79
Bolt Pattern 5x120.65 (5x4.75)
Hub Bore 70.3

This company makes good quality custom spacers and adapters for any application.
Check out their order form. As long as you know your specs you're pretty much set.
If you really want to pursue this, here's what you'll need to do. Tell them how thick you want it (I recommend 25mm front and 40mm rear) and make sure the inner hub-bore diameter is 60.06 (Toyota/Lexus) and the outer hub sticking out to be 70.3 (Corvette). This will ensure you're wheel is hub-centric so no vibrations. and tell them the wheel bolt holes to bolt onto the car are 5x114.3 with a 60 degree tapered edge to seat the nuts. and the studs sticking out will be a 5x120.65 bolt pattern with a M12x1.5 thread pitch (25mm length studs should be long enough)
